Reflecting on 2024 in business & life

Is everyone else wondering how we got to December so fast or is it just me? Christmas is quickly approaching, I have some serious Chrissy shopping I best catch up on, I am always leaving it to the last minute! What an enjoyable and inspiring year it's been. Full of many highs and incredible moments. Starting with welcoming my son Wyatt into the world and navigating my first year in business as a new mum. If this year has taught me anything it's that multitasking is possible and if you prioritise your time correctly you can do anything you set your mind to. This year running a business for the first time with a small co-pilot in my lap has taught me to surrender to the things I can't control and to embrace what I can. It's been a rollercoaster, and I honestly don’t know what I got done in my child-free 10 hour days in the office.

This year has been filled with many new achievements for my business, moving from mainly logo design to now website creation. This makes my heart so full as I'm passionate about creating logos but my passion lies with creating exceptional, high quality and functional and strategic websites that work with your business. This year my small business has had the pleasure of creating 30 new websites and redesigning 5+ designs of new websites this year and I've lost count on the amount of brand designs for businesses I've had the pleasure of working with. I counted past 80 and stopped counting, this number blows me away. These numbers blow me away every time I read them! With these numbers comes a lot of work, this year I found myself bringing on my first ever team of creative and like minded ladies to assist me during these busy times. By bringing on my team I have been able to deliver some exceptional projects to my clients as quickly as I can! Nothing is sweeter than reading the kind feedback from my clients months after working with them to hear that their new websites or brand design has boosted their business to a new level. Not only has my team expanded but my support circle. I have met some amazing people this year who have become a weekly occurrence in my inbox.

So where do we head now? Braining storming 2025 for my business has left me feeling motivated and so incredibly excited for 2025! At the top of my list is to continue building and creating high quality websites and branding. Launch an SB Studio online store with helpful resources and templates for business owners. Yes you read that right, if the year hasn't been busy enough I have been working on a sneaky project to offer more to my clients to ensure every aspect is covered. With this new offering, I hope to bring on another member to the SB Team to assist us with getting creative and managing customer support.

Thanks to the new additions to my team we have been able to complete a lot of tasks and works that have been in pipe work. Our availability to take on new clients and projects will commence as soon as mid January to early February. Here at SB we love what we do a little too much sometimes, but I will be forcing myself to put the laptop down and take a short break over the Christmas period. From Christmas Eve until January 2nd SB Design will be taking a short break to enjoy the festive season, time with family and friends along with enjoying Wyatt’s first ever Christmas! Admittedly, I've always been a bit of a grinch when it comes to Christmas, but this one is particularly special. 

This year has made me realise that SB Design is just getting started, we have so much more to offer and a lot in store, as people like to say “watch this space” however I mean it. With all growth and change comes some big nerves and some serious procrastination. But I hope to keep growing and serving small business owners with professional, hardworking, and beautiful brands and websites. I best be wrapping this up as I know we are all incredibly busy at this time of year, I leave one extra slice of excitement for you all. Thank you for an incredible 2024, it's been one to remember for my family and small business. Many goals were achieved and numerous highs to celebrated. 2024 did come with a sleuth of challenges both in life and business, however, the learning and growth was well worth the pressures.
